ROSSO V

Contemporary Art Group Exhibition in Rome Paying Tribute to Valentino Red

March 14–22, 2026 – Morgana Lengfeld Show Lab

Rome – Red, a universal symbol of passion, elegance, and timeless visual identity, is the central theme of the group exhibition “ROSSO V”, a contemporary art project in Rome paying tribute to the unmistakable aesthetic of Valentino Garavani and the iconic Valentino Red, which over the decades has become one of the most recognizable symbols in international fashion.

The exhibition will take place at Morgana Lengfeld Show Lab, located at Via Aureliana 33, Rome, from March 14 to March 22, 2026, with the opening reception scheduled for Saturday, March 14, at 6:00 PM.

The exhibition brings together contemporary artists from diverse backgrounds and artistic languages – Rosanna Amatulli, Sabrina Baldacchini, Giuseppe Bevilacqua, Paola Bignardi, Danica Bozzolan, Giorgio Cammarota, Cristina Candiracci, Sara Canonico, Carlo Alvise Crispolti, Emanuela Del Zompo, Ivano Felaco, Gianluca Ferrari, Gianfranco Fiore, Monica Galeotti, Francesca Gioggi, Teo Iaia, Viviana Inselvini, Irene Lak, Angela Malinconico, Margherita Marzari, Katia Masella, Clio Nanè, Sara Napoleone, Lara Nex Oliva, Daniele Pacchiarotti, Giovanni Papa, Francesca Patera, Katja Richter, Adriano Romani, Maria Gabriella Sabbatini, Virginia Saracino, Simona Treccosti, Ilaria Valenzi, Samuela Vercelli, Federica Virgili – invited to engage with red as a symbolic, emotional, and cultural element.

Artist Carlo Alvise Crispolti, curator of several exhibitions in Italy and internationally, participates with a work dedicated to Valentino Garavani. Valentino Red has long been his favorite color, from the cover of his phone to his shoelaces, even extending to the tiled wall of his bathroom. For the exhibition, the artist presents a diptych in which one panel features multicolored dripping techniques contrasted with a deep red surface inspired by the material and expressive language of Alberto Burri.

Through painting, photography, sculpture, and mixed media, the exhibition explores the many nuances of this color: from passion to tension, from elegance to vital energy, reaching its most intimate and identity-driven dimension. The project investigates red not only as a chromatic choice, but as a cultural and symbolic code that moves across art, fashion, and collective imagination.

The initiative is organized by Artaporté, an international platform dedicated to promoting contemporary art and fostering connections between artists, curators, and exhibition spaces. Through exhibitions, cultural projects, and collaborations, Artaporté encourages dialogue between creative disciplines and supports the dissemination of new artistic research in the contemporary art scene.

The exhibition takes place at Morgana Lengfeld Show Lab, a creative laboratory and exhibition space in the heart of Rome that hosts experimental projects where art, fashion, and visual research intersect. The venue stands out for its interdisciplinary approach, encouraging crossovers between artistic languages and new forms of dialogue between creativity and visual culture.

The project is curated by A-Wibaa, an artist and curator.

The opening event on March 14 will be enriched by a special moment that reinforces the dialogue between art and fashion: a fashion show by designer Raffaele Marchese, whose creations will interact with the exhibition’s chromatic theme.

For the occasion, guests will be invited to actively participate in the evening’s experience: to attend the vernissage, they will be asked to wear at least one red element in their outfit, transforming the opening into an immersive event where audience, art, and fashion share the same chromatic code.
